Yuki Tsuji’s SUI-CHU draws viewers into the mysterious world beneath the ocean’s surface. Its imagery evokes an ancient deep-sea creature, enduring through immense spans of time in a place where light gives way to darkness. Moving through the warmth and silence of the abyss, the work reflects on the hidden rhythms of life below the surface and the natural cycles that connect past and present. It also turns our attention to the sea as a source of abundance, shaping the cuisine and culture of Japan, an island nation. In the intimate setting of Omakase by P48, SUI-CHU invites a moment of quiet reflection.
